Our Story

Established in 1993, JA Foodservice is a woman-owned, Midwest-based business dedicated to providing superior and affordable meal programs.

Founder, Jackie Abbott, created JA Foodservice with the vision of feeding area seniors and schools. Out of that vision, we expanded to a company serving thousands of meals per day to food banks, day care centers, senior centers, schools, universities, Boys and Girls Clubs and more, with integrity and compassion.

Through our service centers in the Midwest, our shelf-stable meals are hand-packed by JA Foodservice employees and delivered both locally and nationally. Whether you require a hot, chilled, frozen, or customizable shelf-stable meal plan, we are committed to offering nutrition-conscious products of the highest quality and value. Targeted at K-12, college, and senior markets, our innovative products are excellent solutions for:

JA Foodservice continues to grow steadily, adding employees each year. Through tough economic times, we expanded services and launched new products. From packing emergency meals for victims of Hurricane Katrina, to delivering meals to area homebound people, to providing job training for autistic and handicapped workers, we are involved in our community.
